Peace blog post

Millie has given  me a fact about the word peace. Thanks Millie!

Here are the facts:
Millie's - Jeremy founded Peace One day in 1999

Mine - On the day the Americans named a special rose 'Peace' World War II stopped.
To celebrate the International day of Peace there was a concert in Wembley Arena by Elton John and James Morrison and a small appearance by Jude Law in 2012.
During the 1960s the peace sign symbolized the spirit of love service to humanity and peace.
The peace sign was created by Gerald Herbert Holtman, an artist and designer, on February 21st  1958.

That's all the facts done. Keep on commenting for next week's word!!!

Wisher and the Runaway Piglet by Georgie Adams (before I've read it)

This is probably a series book because it says The Railway Rabbits at the top.

Front Cover:
This cover is quite a neat one with a picture at the top. Below that the title and underneath that the author, Georgie Adams, and illustrator, Anna Currey. Two questions I've got in my head already are: Why is the background color green? Is it just because of Orion or does it have a message behind the story?!?! And, does the bridge there on in the picture have anything to do with it? But neither I nor you know until my second post is out.

Blurb:
As I said, these books are obviously a series because guess what it says Join the Railway Rabbits: Barley, Mellow, Bramble, Bracken, Berry, Fern and Wisher Longears in their adventures. Just like the cover the blurb is simple, not giving much info away about the book. It only gives you 3 or 4 bits of info and they are Wisher hears about a runaway piglet, Wisher is a she and the piglet is a he and Wisher decides to help the pig to get back to the farm. From reading the blurb it already tells me that Wisher is quite a helpful character and good with any animal whether it bigger or smaller than her. Without looking through the book I can tell that Anna Currey is a very talented artist because of the beautiful drawing on the front and the back.

I'm really looking forward to reading this book.

The Bomber Dog (before I've read it)

I've been wanting to get this book ever since the author Megan Rix came to speak about her books at our school. It was so fascinating that I couldn't stop wanting it. The Bomber Dog.

Front Cover:
It looks like it's set in war because of the title The Bomber Dog and the planes on the front. The quote  'Best friend and hero...' might show that there's sadness in the book and the hero would rescue it/who. The main character is probably a German Shepard. They're one of my favourite breeds of dog because their ears are so pointy, their tongues stick out and they're so super. I usually don't like books that have wars in but somehow this particular book made me push past the sadness and read it. (So it had better be good.)

Blurb:
From the info I've got I'm going to attempt to write my own blurb. Here we go: When Grey, a puppy arrives at the War dog Training School, Nathan his trainer is a brave young soldier and is an old war dog. They soon become best friends but then a big jump goes tragically wrong...
When the Second World War gets even more violent, Grey finds he's facing the most important mission ever in his life; finding his friend. But France is covered in danger with bombs going off and dead bodies lying everywhere. But his mind is set on one goal: reaching his friend before it's too late!
There's a quote here 'If you love Michael Morpurgo, you will enjoy this'
 - Sunday Express

HETTY FEATHER!!! (after I've seen it)

Woah, I'm still recovering from going to bed at 10:30 last night. But the play itself was amazing.

Trafalgar Square/The National Gallery/Dinner
First of all we got on the train and tube to reach London but guess where we got out...
Trafalgar Square! We looked at Nelson's Column and my sister climbed up a bit higher. It was enormous. After that, we went into the National Gallery which was very fascinating. I got a postcard with one of Monet's pictures on.
We went to dinner at a very posh place and we ate off the adult menu. I had Italian beef meatballs. The restaurant, Joe Allen, was all about movies.

The actual play
Hetty Feather was amazing. Here are the cast:
Hetty - Phoebe Thomas, Jem/Matrom Bottomly - Matt Costain, Peg/Ida - Sarah Goddard, Gideon - Paul Mundell, Saul - Isaac Stanmore, Madame Adeline - Nikki Warwick, Understudy - Jenanne Redman, Musician - Alex Heane, Musician - Luke Potter. Hetty lives a very hard life when she is abandoned as a baby. The play was about the quest to find her mother but she was  much closer than you thought...
The play gave me a lot of different emotions at different times. I thought the acrobatics in it was phenomenal and the music showed lots of expressions. The actors and actresses must of trained really hard, but as they say hard work always pays off and I mean always. Overall, the play was brilliant but when we got home there were 2 sleepy heads in the house.
The play and book was inspired by the stories of children who grew up in Victorian Times in the Foundling Hospital. Jackie tried to imagine how hard it would be.  There are 3 other books and they are:
1. Sapphire Battersea
2. Emerald Star
3. Diamond

HETTY FEATHER!!! (before I've seen it)

I am so excited. As part of my birthday present, my mum and dad booked tickets for my sister and I to see Hetty Feather live on stage. How cool is that? Oh, by the way I am a huge Jacqueline Wilson fan.

My mum and dad saw this when we went to see the real live Dame Jacqueline Wilson.  I agree with The Times it is the most compelling tale Jackie has ever told.

I haven't read Hetty Feather yet but I've read Diamond which has a little bit of Hetty Feather and from what I've read she sounds brilliant.

I'm really looking forward to tonight. I'll give you an after post tomorrow as it finishes quite late.

Lizzie's Wish by Adele Geras (after I've read it)

That book was soo good, no thrilling. I definitely recommend  Lizzie's Wish for any age. Once I'd picked it up I just couldn't put it down. Although some bits were a little boring most of it was plain fun, happiness with a pinch of sadness.

Lizzie is sent to live in London by her mean stepfather because her mom's having a baby.  She gets along well with Hugh a 12 year old boy who's obsessed with plant's like she is and Clara a 16 year old girl who's kind. However Lucy the youngest is really mean, making Lizzie feel unwelcome.Suddenly, the letters stop and the baby is born! But what other troubles will happen to the baby and walnut that Lizzie is planting. Caring and patience is the key...

I can see it was set in 1857 because one of the Uncles, Uncle William, fought in the Crimean war which was 1853-1857.

If you've already broken up than have a good holiday but if you're like me let's look forward to it.

Lizzie's Wish by Adele Geras (before I've read it)

Hello again! I'm back to blog about a book that I got out of the library that I think will be very good. Lizzie's Wish.

Front Cover:
This grabs my attention! Straight away I can identify that it's from an olden day era as most of the pictures are pretty dull but still grabbing. There are also quite a lot of plants which shows Lizzie likes the outside world. There's also a question below the title that gets me thinking. Will she achieve her ambition?  Already there's a question in my head that will hopefully be answered in the book. What is her ambition?...

Blurb:
Lizzie loves plants, and her biggest wish is to be a gardener, a bold choice for a Victorian girl. When her strict and miserable stepfather sends her to stay with relatives in London, Lizzie misses her country garden and struggles to adapt to her new life of stiff manners and formal pastimes.
Lizzie lives for the daily letters from her mother and is looking forward to the news of her new baby brother or sister. But suddenly the letters stop, and when Lizzie sets out to discover the truth she finds herself on a rescue mission.

Wow! That sounds so good that I have to stop the blog post and start reading this awesome book. Bye!

Princess Ponies; A Singing Star by Chloe Ryder (after I've read it)

THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE EVER READ! I TAKE BACK ALL THE NEGATIVE THINGS I SAID ABOUT THE BOOK ON THE LAST POST. CHLOE RYDER IS AMAZING.
So good that I got another one out of the library.

I think Chloe (the author) is trying to put a message into her reader's    brain that animals' homes are being ruined because of something else so    maybe adopt a snow leopard or even just a donkey and you could save an animal's life. I might of also given you a message that this book is quite sad so if you like a bit of tragic in stories than this can go on your list.

Basically, the 12 Golden Horseshoes have gone missing and they need to be returned to the wall by the dusk of Midsummers Eve otherwise Chevalia, the horses home, will eventually be gone and it will just be a normal island where normal ponies live they then find out that a very unexpected character stole the horseshoes and they try to stop her. But will it be easy?

This will definitely be a story that I will read all the series for. They are amazzzzzing!!!

Thank you to Bloomsbury for sending my sister (which means I can read it) this wonderful book.

Coco Caramel by Cathy Cassidy (after I've read it)

What a good book.  Not the best I've ever read, but it's very unexpected at the end you should read it. I felt very emotional whilst reading this book not always in a sad way though...

The main characters are:

  • Coco
  • Lawrie
  • The sisters Skye, Summer, Honey and Cherry
  • Mr Seddon
  • Caramel (the horse)
My explanation of the story in the least words possible would be:
Caramel bought by mean Mr Seddon. Coco wants to save him. Lawrie (the school bully) helps. Unexpected things happen.

In this book you'll go through a lot of emotions from sadness =( to happiness =) so if you're going to read this book be ready to jump into a world of crime and adventure. Good luck...

Coco Caramel by Cathy Cassidy (before I've read it)

I was searching through my sister's bookshelf trying to find a book I haven't read when I came upon this book. Coco Caramel by Cathy Cassidy. Now as you may know I looove chocolate so I thought this would be a good read for me. Yes, you might say I'm too young but I can't help myself. A good book is a good book and I need to read good books.

Front Cover:
I can understand that Coco loves music and horses as well as chocolate by looking at the cakes on the front. If so I am just like Coco (in Cathy's mind) because I like all the things that Coco likes. There is also a tree where the title is written, maybe that tree's magical and Coco has adventures there.

Blurb:
The saying on the back 'Each sister has a different story to tell, which one will be your favourite?' really gets me thinking. Which one will be my favourite?
The blurb also gives me a description of Coco. It says; Tangled tawny hair, freckles, animal-crazy, adventurous, and determined. But determined for what? All of these questions will be answered in my next post.

Although I've never met Coco I'd like you to know her a bit more so watch this video and you will.

Princess Ponies; A Singing Star by Chloe Ryder (before I've read it)

As soon as my sister Lexie showed me this book, I knew that I absolutely HAD to read it!

Front Cover:
Sparkling, eye-catching and dazzling are the words I would use to describe the front cover. I think that black is the best colour for a horse so this book really caught my eye although it has got a white patch. To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of princess' but somehow this book has really drawn me in partly because horse my favorite animal in the world. You feel as if you are touching the horses fur and her eyes, her wide, intelligent, curious eyes, are hypnotizing you to read this book and that's why I am.

Blurb:
Your friends for ever! Visit their magical island kingdom, where anything can happen...

Diva (the horse on the front) is probably the main character because she appears twice and she has the dilemma. The pink with white sparkles is a dainty background so maybe the characters are. Basically, the blurb explains that Pippa goes and sees her hero Diva but hours before the show someone steals Diva's voice. Pippa tries to find it. But will she find it in time and be Diva's hero?

This books looks brilliant and I'm sure it will be a thrill reading it.
All this suspension is just too much for me so I'm going to end this post and start reading!

It's mysterious, It's enchanted, It's The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton (after I've read it)

Did that take me quite a long time? Oh yes! I think it's good that it's long (676 pages to be precise) because the author can give more description and fit more writing into the story.

The title of all the books were:
1.  The Enchanted Wood (where the Faraway Tree lives)
2.  The Magic Faraway Tree
3. The Folk of the Faraway Tree

The Enchanted Wood:
This book starts off the 3 books and is kind of like an introductory paragraph but much longer and it starts to explain the people and adventures in the Faraway Tree.
The Magic Faraway Tree:
This book explains further and more exciting adventures the children have, with a special visitor!
The Folk of the Faraway Tree:
This is the last part of the story but it isn't simple, that's for sure! Here it starts to get more gripping and mysterious than ever...

This book was full of sudden changes and weird characters you wouldn't meet every day. There was always a different land at the top of the Faraway Tree which sometimes the children visited, sometimes they didn't, sometimes were sweet and sometimes were scary. But however sweet or scary the land at the top of the tree was the children had an adventure.

This book was very thrilling and interesting giving the the reader scaredness, happiness or just plain curiosity so I reeeeeeeeeeally enjoyed it. If you don't believe in magic then would recommend you not to read it because most of this book's characters are 'not real'.  Overall this book was just cool (as Enid Blyton Books are in my opinion).  I would recommend this book to all people who love Enid Blyton and to people who just love reading.

This book is definitely one of my favorites out of all Enid Blyton's books.

The, fortunately, sunny Dubrovnik (after I've been there)

What an experience I will never forget! From waves lapping the beach gently, to the busy but beautiful city of Dubrovnik here will be a holiday to remember...

 THE HOTEL:
A view from the hotel looking out to sea.

The Radisson Blu Spa and Resort hotel was lovely with everything surrounding you having brilliant views. From the moment you wake up they will be serving you with a mouth-watering buffet for breakfast all the way through to a refreshing cocktail to drink after your dinner. You might also want to visit the Sports Centre where there is a wide variety of different  sports to be played. Maybe you might want to walk along the beach. Although rocky, the water is clear blue and the huge boulders behind are great for climbing.

DUBROVNIK:
The beautiful city of Dubrovnik at sunset.
I won't be able to tell you how beautiful Dubrovnik was but to get the idea in your head it was really, really gorgeous. Walking through the city will be a delight to the whole family although if you're unlucky and choose the wrong path you'll be climbing up thousands of steps. The Old City Walls protect this charming land and you can walk around them and almost faint in all the lovely views. BE WARNED! You do have to go up a lot of steps and on a sunny day it is super hard work.
The Bell Tower is seen by the Marina and chimes very loudly. There's also Stradun, a wide street of cafes/restaurants and all types of shops galore. Overall, Dubrovnik is just charming and I had a fantastic holiday.
Check out my sister's post http://www.whatlexieloves.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/the-stunning-and-sunning-croatia.html

05 April, 2014

The, hopefully, sunny Dubrovnik (before I've been there)

For a bit of the Easter holidays, my family and I will be relaxing  in a luxurious hotel, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Fingers crossed that it will be sunny so that we can have day out at the beach and a few trips to the swimming pool.

I am really excited and it only takes 2 and a half hours to get
there! I am flying from Gatwick so hopefully it will make the flight faster. Even though it is going to be a brilliant experience I'm a bit sad about leaving my safe home (especially my cosy bed). One thing for sure is that it will be fun and good to have a break. Apparently, the city of Dubrovnik is meant to be charming and I think it is going to be.

Are you going anywhere exciting for the Easter holidays? Maybe on holiday (like me) or it could just be a visit to your grandparents? Whatever you do I wish you a VERY MERRY EASTER!!!!!!

It's the Easter holidays. WOOHOO!!!!!

02 April, 2014

It's mysterious, It's enchanted , It's The Magical Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton (before I've read it)

The front cover has got 3 different pictures of
the Faraway Tree in different seasons (makes it more fascinating)
Have you just read the Famous Five by Enid Blyton and you don't know what to read next? Well the Magic Faraway Tree would be a good choice because it's just like the Famous Five but more magical...

Front Cover:
At first sights, the front cover looks crammed full of things but actually if you just rest your eyes it's pretty simple with a title in running down the middle a few pictures and who it's by (Enid Blyton). The pictures look quite weird and I am curious as to what this book reveals. It has sparkles all over it and a plane so maybe that has something to do with it. Or maybe it's just to make it look cool. But all of these things add up to 1 thing. The mystery or dilemma of the story which I will find out after I've read it.

Blurb:
The Rule of odds! There are 3 bubbles so it makes it look more effective. One with the title, one with the actual blurb writing and one with a persuasive phrase. 'Come on a magical adventure' makes the book sound more interesting, to make me reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly want to read this book. The type of day it is in is night so maybe most of the story is set in the night. This blurb is very simple but somehow for me it just really stays in my brain. Egmont have done a really good job.

Hopefully, my reviews will be coming out soon although it is quite a thick book so it will take me quite a long time to read this book.

Wendy Quill (who's just like me) tries to grow a pet (after I've read it)

Think of how hard you want your dream to come true. Times that by 10. And that is how much Wendy Quill, my sister and I want a pet. Although Wendy Quill does already have 2 pets. But, by the end of the book Wendy Quill has 4 pets.

Wendy Quill Tries to Grow a Pet was split into 3 experiments. Experiment 1 - Wendy Quill's invisible runaway dog. Experiment 2 - Wendy Quill's tiny borrowed pets. Experiment 3 - Wendy Quill tries to grow a frog. The author chose good titles for the 3 experiments because they all link into the main title.

My brief plot of the story :
Experiment 1 -Wendy has an invisible dog (Bathilda Brown) who runs away because Wendy has to lie that she doesn't have one. Unfortunately for Wendy, she makes up  a questionnaire and has to read it out to the class by accident. Her teacher is a poodle and because of that she gets sent to the headmaster.

Experiment 2 -Wendy Quill has a boy in her class who always itches (Tyler Ainsworth) so Wendy tries to get the nits off him so she can have her own tiny pets. Her best friend Florence Hurbet says that Wendy doesn't have the nits. Or does she?

Experiment 3 -Weirdly, Wendy tries to grow frogs in a jar. It works! YEY!  Finally,Wendy Quill has pets of her own. But more than she expects. The nits that she got off Tyler Ainsworth had come as well. Double-yay!

I loved this book because it was short yet the author fitted a good amount of brilliant writing into it and it was also a bit humourous which I like. This book (in my opinion) would fall under the 5-10 category as it was for younger children and older children. Wendy Meddour (the author) was imaginative and that's really what makes a book a book for me. Overall I just totally adore this book.

26 March, 2014

Wendy Quill (who's just like me) tries to grow a pet (before I've read it)

Finally! Someone is actually with me and my sister on trying to get a pet but their parents won't let them.

Front Cover :
The first thing I said when I picked up the book was "Wow! I love the illustrations," and they were by Mina May age 12! A-maz-ING. I can tell already that Wendy must have a love of animals because there's 6 on the front cover. A quote from the author says "You won't catch nits from reading this book but you'll definitely get the giggles." This implies that this book has humour in and every book should have some humour in.

Blurb :
The author and illustrator have really put effort into both the front cover and blurb. The blurb is very eye-catching, like the front cover, and the person who wrote the blurb makes it look like Wendy Quill has wrote it. Also it is simple but effective.
In my opinion these are the things that a good blurb and front cover should have/or should be.

- eye catching
- simple but effective
- no white spaces (unless necessary)
- big, bold title
- colourful
- pictures/drawings but not squished in together

Well the front cover and blurb have ALL these things so I have the feeling that this is going to be a good, enjoyable book.

Hopefully my review will be out soon.

The winner of Whitbred goes to ... The curious incident of the dog in the night-time (after I've read it)

Wow! Mark Haddon must have a love of detectives, maths, a bit of confusion and maybe a bit of tragedy because this book included all of those things. From all the books I've read this book stands out from all the others because
1. Mark Haddon decided to use Prime numbers for chapters and
2. It teaches you because Christopher (the little boy) takes his A-levels test and it tells you some of the answers.

If I was to write a brief plot of the book it would be:
Farther tells Christopher that Christopher's mother has died when actually she's going out with another man who is Farther's neighbors husband. Meanwhile Mrs Shears(Farther's neighbor's) dog is dead so Christopher does an investigation to find out who killed the dog. But then Christopher finds out that his mother isn't dead and she's going out with another man and who kills Wellington (Mrs Shears dog).

Mark Haddon getting the Whitbred award
I really loved this book because it has multiple points of view and Mark Haddon doesn't even have to split it up. I also love this book because the dilemma isn't solved until the very last bit of the book which gives me even more suspense.

Now I've read this book Mark Haddon is in my list for the top 10 best authors (well, in my opinion). I would recommend this book to all ages 9 and above even adults - my mum is going to read this in her book club soon.

If you see any of Mark Haddon's books in your local/school library then if I were you I would definitely, I repeat definitely , get it out.

The greatest author in the world in my opinion Dame Jacqueline Wilson (after I've seen her)

Wow! That was amazing. It was definitely worth it. All that trouble finding seats and then an amazing talk , all that fuss getting a book and then having a picture and a book signed.

Her new book Paws and Whiskers sounds brilliant and now I've got it I will be blogging about it. Basically, it's stories about cats and dogs from different authors and as you might already know I adore cats and dogs. As I did get the chance to ask questions I will answer them.

What's the book you like the most that you've written? Hetty Feather.

What inspired you to be an author? I loved reading and writing so it was the perfect job.
I didn't get a chance to ask the last question though.

The only thing that spoilt it was at the end where you got to get Paws and Whiskers signed by Jackie and we had to wait in a queue for ages and ages and ages and ages. Everyone was pushing because they wanted to get their book signed first so I nearly got knocked over and lots of people said nasty jibs about other people pushing when they were doing it themselves.
It was a total riot!

But overall, it was a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant (e.t.c) day meeting my hero Jacqueline Wilson.  Here's me and my sister with Dame Jacqueline Wilson.

08 March, 2014

The greatest author in the world in my opinion Dame Jacqueline Wilson (before I've seen her)

Well, today my sister and I are very lucky because we get to go and see Dame Jacqueline Wilson at the Chorleywood Memorial Hall. It will be a great opportunity as when I'm older I want to be a writer and she'll give me some brilliant writing  tips, I'm sure. All of the people who are going will be listening to a big talk on Paws and Whiskers as well as hopefully being able to ask questions.
Here are mine:
What's the book you like the most that you've written and why?
What inspired you to be an author?
Although I'm only 7 what book do you think I'll enjoy the most?
I'll be answering the questions in my next post (if I'm lucky enough to get an answer).

I'ts going to be a once in a life-time opportunity so I'm going to enjoy every second of it.

What I'm really excited about is
1. Getting a signed copy of Paws and Whiskers
2. Meeting my hero in person.

Like I've said before, it will be amazing and if you think it  sounds like boring then I can reassure you it will be great.

The winner of Whitbread goes to ... The curious incident of the dog in the night time (before I've read it.)

Personally (I think) the reason why I chose this book is

  1.  The title sounds very catchy
  2.  It was the winner of Whitbread.

Front Cover:
It looks very sad just looking at the front cover but actually reading the book is going to be very
sad (although I do like a bit of tragedy.) The book looks very interesting and I've seen it in my school library and I think the books there are always very, very good. Also it has the word dog in it. Whenever I see that word I get really hyper-active because I adore dogs. I've also read one of Mark Haddon's books before and that was good so I think this one should be too. From what it looks like on the front cover I think the dog is dead.

Blurb:
Whoa! Give me time to take it all in. The front cover's interesting and now the blurb's interesting so I just neeeed to read this book but first I have to finish and post this. Groan.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41LgZGBldKL.jpg
The blurb of the version I've got
Another reason why I love the blurb is because it ends with a rhetorical question (which I will answer in my next blog post.) On both sides the book looks very ancient and mysterious so that might give me a clue of what the books like inside.

As well as being the winner of Whitbread, this book was also the winner of the Guardian children's fiction prize and the book trust teenage fiction award.

My opinions of the book coming soon, when I've read it.

The quirky book of ... The Quirks (after I've read it)

Where to start? This book was sooo exciting. Basically, Pen, Finn their mum and grandparents all have magical powers but, sadly, Molly doesn't. A few weeks after The Quirks moved house the circus came to town! Amazingly, Normal Elementary school (where Pen, Finn and Molly go) get offered to perform some circus tricks to the whole town. The children set up a mini circus ring in their backyard. Whilst practicing, they notice their neighbour is being rather nosy. Do they know something she doesn't? Or is it the other way round? And is Normal so normal after all?

I would definitely recommend this book to 7-10 year olds.  I really loved this book because the author wrote the best vocabulary to help children understand it. The book also had a really cool font for a few letters at the beginning of each chapter which I really liked.

It also was funny and it made me laugh out loud.

If I was to give a quote I would say "A thrilling and exciting book ending not how you would of expected it to end."

The quirky book of ... The Quirks! (Before I've read it.)

I've decided to do a blog post on The Quirks ( in Circus Quirkus. )This is my 1st insight of the book I haven't read it yet. I'll do another blog post once I have. This will continue for everything I review.
The Front Cover

Now back to 1st insights. As soon as I had picked up the book I said to myself "Wow, this book looks magical!" The reason why I said that ,I think, was because on the front cover there is a fairy and the boy's hands  and feet have turned invisible!
I also really like how the illustrator  made the tree, in some parts,
looked like the sun was shining on it.

Blurb:
Once I had read the blurb it really made me want to pick up the book and read it but sadly it was bed-time so I couldn't. I bet once you've read the blurb you'll want to read it too. Here it is:
The Quirk family- and their super, magical powers are finally settling into Normal when the circus comes to town! There is tightrope-walking, trapeze-swinging and juggling to learn. But will Molly, Pen and Finn be able to hide their not-so-normal super powers from their rather nosy neighbor... or does she know something they don't?
A blurb needs to be eye-catching and this blurb definitely is.This is one of the blurbs that I've loved the most during reading because the illustrations are much more cared about and it's pretty complicated (which is why I love the blurb). So this is definitely one of my good insights!

I would like to say a MASSIVE thank-you to Erin Soderberg for writing this book, Kelly Light for illustrating it, Bloomsbury for publishing it (and sending it to my sister) and... to my sister for letting me borrow the Quirks.
